Welcome to Briar Rose Farm!
Look for Briar Rose in Southern Living Fall 2011. We're one of the best FarmStays in North Carolina!
We offer a choice of three cabins and a farm experience with friendly farm animals, a creek, hot tubs, fire pits
and hiking trails for those wanting to explore our 260 acres. We also offer seclusion and privacy for those
wanting a peaceful honeymoon escape with beautiful high mountain views.
Located 30 miles northwest of Asheville, North Carolina, near the
Appalachian Trail town of Hot Springs, in the heart of the southern
Appalachian Mountains, Briar Rose Farm is an old mountain farm
with rolling hills, steep slopes, and green pastures divided by a
creek that comes tumbling down the mountain.
A true farm experience is what we offer to our guests.
You will enjoy our cool evenings, sunny days, blue skies, and the
choice of adventures just outside your cabin door.. Or maybe you
will come to just soak up the peaceful quiet of this rural setting.

A trip to Briar Rose Farm provides far more than just a place to sleep!
In spite of a mild winter with lots of rain, we are looking forward to Spring! While we usually have
kids born in April, our buck had other ideas and we now have 9 kids out in the barnyard, springing
and bouncing! You can't help but laugh out loud at their antics. Come and enjoy them with us!
Winter hiking is some of the best here in the mountains. You can see further and not get overheated. The
sun warms the days nicely but it cools quickly around sundown making evening by the fire
or in the hot tub particularly inviting. We provide all the wood for your outdoor fire pit or inside wood stove.
Nightly or weekly, our cabins offer the opportunity to enjoy the numerous outdoor activities in the area or just
stay "home" by the fireplace or in the hot tub under the stars. It is a great place for families with kids, couples,
and honeymooners. Enjoy a campfire by the creek, hike right from your cabin door, visit with our cows, goats,
collect eggs from the chickens and listen to our roosters welcoming the morning sun as it lights up your front
porch. What a perfect way to begin your days in the mountains!

Each of our cabins offers: a cozy unique cabin, a hot tub, large porch with a gas grill and deck furniture, open
decks, porch swings and/or hammocks, full kitchens and baths, cozy bedrooms, and access to our friendly
farm animals.
We invite you to wander our gardens, pick from our summer produce (in season, of course), see how we grow
hydroponic butterhead lettuce, hike to the fire tower located at the top of our mountain, splash in the creek,
and end your day by the light of a welcoming campfire and a dip in the hot tub.
We are happy to offer personalized gift certificates for a special gift They make great wedding gifts,
awards for events, just a nice way to help a special couple get a way, or a way to promise your hard working

- Farm Cabin, our family cabin sleeps 5 and located on the main farm near the animals and creek ,
larges porches, deck, hot tub, pond, and fire pit for hot dogs and s'mores - Sweet Briar Log Cabin, up the farm road 1/2 mile on it's own 89 acre farm, privacy, pasture and
mountain views, long porch, deck, hot tub, fire pit, sleeps 2 or 3 - Knob Log Cabin, high mountain views, completely private, a cozy log cabin with hot tub overlooking a
breathtaking view, and fire pit for an evening campfire
