Welcome to Briar Rose Farm!

Look for us in the September Issue of Southern Living!  A  few pictures and a little blurb about the
farm, but still Southern Living!  And they came to us listing us as one of the best "FarmStays" in NC.

We offer a choice of three cabins and a farm experience with trails for hiking, friendly farm animals,
creek, hot tubs, and fire pits for those wanting to explore our 260 acres.  We also offer seclusion and
privacy for those wanting a peaceful and quiet escape.

Located 30 miles northwest of Asheville, North Carolina, near the
Appalachian Trail town of Hot Springs, in the heart of the southern
Appalachian Mountains,
Briar Rose Farm is an old mountain farm
on 260 acres of rolling hills, steep slopes, and green pastures
divided by a creek that comes tumbling down the mountain.

A true farm experience is what we offer to our guests.
You will enjoy our cool evenings, sunny days, blue skies, and the
choice of adventures just outside your cabin door..  Or just soak up
the peaceful quiet of this rural setting. Be as active or as lazy
as you wish. A trip to
Briar Rose Farm  provides far more than just a place to sleep!

July, August, and September are wonderful months in the mountains!   Cool mornings are followed by
warmer temperatures at midday.  Then it becomes cooler with dark nights lit only with the amazing
number of stars you can observe from your hot tub or deck of your cabin.  While many visitors enjoy the
hiking, rafting, and the many outdoor activities this area is known for, some just come to lounge and
read on the long porch in the shade and watch the day go by.  Our summer berries are producing well
this summer, so be prepared to pick your fill of Red Raspberries and Black Berries.

Nightly or weekly, our cabins offer the opportunity to enjoy the numerous outdoor activities in the area
or just stay "home" by the fireplace or in the hot tub under the stars. It is a great place for families with
kids, couples, and honeymooners. Enjoy a campfire by the creek,  hike right from your cabin door, visit
with our cows, goats, collect eggs from the chickens and listen to our roosters welcoming the morning
sun as it lights up your front porch. What a perfect way to begin your days in the mountains!
